The mischievous antics of a pug puppy named Ham turned into a concerning situation when the family took him to the veterinarian and discovered he had swallowed up to 60 hair ties.

The owner, Victoria Northwood, reported that the 2-year-old pug, normally active and noisy, was strangely quiet, prompting the family to seek help at Newton Clarke Veterinary Surgery. X-rays revealed a mass of approximately 50 to 60 hair ties in his stomach, which had to be surgically removed.
The veterinary team extracted a total of 200 grams of hair ties from Ham’s stomach, who weighs only 6 kilograms. While Ham is still recovering, the family expressed relief for the veterinary intervention and is now closely monitoring the pug’s behavior.
